The Shepherd Bridge project realized within the scope of Erasmus+; The second of the Learning Teaching Training (LTT) event was held between 23-28/06/2022; It was held in Thessaloniki, Greece, under the coordination of project partner Greece. The training held in Thessaloniki; Next to the female shepherds from Burdur; Burdur Agriculture and Forestry Provincial Directorate project team, Burdur Governorship project team, Burdur Mehmet Akif Ersoy University project team, Burdur Chamber of Agriculture project team and project partner countries; The project team of the University of Cordoba in Spain and the University of Belgrade in Serbia participated.
On the first day of the event; During the warm conversations of Burdur female shepherds with Greece and other partners, the shepherds presented Burdur shalwar, writing and hand-knitted booties to the participants. The other days of the event continued with presentations.
In addition, a visit was made to the sheep and goat farms in the Katerini region, which is one hour away from the city. During the visits, the owners gave information about the local dairy goats. In addition, the shepherds and all the participants had the opportunity to taste the goat cheeses produced by the enterprises themselves.
At the end of the 5-day training, trainings were given by Greek, Spanish, Serbian and Turkish experts on sheep breeding. In addition, visits were made to small cattle enterprises in Greece.
